  4. About the scheme
  5. ----------------
  6. The supported Shareware scheme was started by Joe Connor in 1993 to 
  7. encourage authors to produce and support English language versions of 
  8. their software AND to encourage UK users to register 'foreign' software. 
  9. Recently the scheme was re-launched as InterActive. With currently over 
  10. 1200 registrations the scheme has established the proven benefits of local 
  11. support, which include:
  12.  
  13. - Key to remove features reserved for registered users available
  14. - Local telephone, post and Email support
  15. - Free update service
  16. - No hassle handling foreign currency
  17. - Labelled Master disk and registration letter
  18. - ST-Guide on-line hypertext help (some software)
  19. - Other software (dependent on disk space)
  20.  
  21. Registration fees are set to cover the currency handling, stationary, 
  22. media and postage costs incurred in mailing out master disks and providing 
  23. support.
  24. Although primarily a UK support scheme everyone is welcome to register via 
  25. InterActive as an alternative to registering directly with the author/s.

  74. How to register from inside the UK
  75. ----------------------------------
  76. 1) Use the included ORDER_FM.TXT to select the required software
  77. 2) Make sure your name and address is included and *legible*!
  78. 3) Make cheques/POs payable to InterActive for the total amount
  79. 4) Send the completed order form and payment to InterActive
  80.  
  81. Additionally from outside the UK

  83. - Add £1 to your order total to cover postage
  84. - Make certain payment is *in Sterling* drawn on a *UK* bank address
  85.   The following methods are known to work:
  86.   -Bank draft/cheque
  87.   -Eurocheque
  88.   -International Post Office cheque payable *in Sterling*
  89.   -Cash! Sterling, Dollars and DMs are fine -but at your own risk!

  116. Due to the number of people taking advantage of the service I can't always 
  117. reply as quickly as I'd like to. Often I'm waiting for a new version or 
  118. simply too busy earning a living so please be patient!

  144. archives but because minor updates to the English language version are 
  145. sometimes made without changing the version number hensa and 42BBS are the
